Union minister Meghwal addresses ‘Viksit Bharat Ambassador-Youth Connect’ at DSPMU

Ranchi: The Union Minister of Law and Justice (Independent Charge), Arjun Ram Meghwal, stated on Tuesday that only empowered youth can build a strong India. He emphasized that the energy, creativity, and innovation potential of young people are the driving forces that can transform India into a developed nation.

Meghwal was addressing students during the ‘Viksit Bharat Ambassador-Youth Connect’ event held at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi. He further remarked that the youth represent the future of our country, and it is through their strength and determination that India will rise as a global power in the 21st century.

During the event, Meghwal highlighted the ongoing efforts to establish India as a developed nation in the 21st century. He noted that today, India is reaching new heights of progress, powered by advancements in education, healthcare, technology, and the vigor of its youth. He added that the dream of a developed India is no longer just an idea but is now taking a concrete shape. Thanks to government policies, initiatives, and the collective efforts of the youth, India is rapidly advancing towards development. He reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to building an India where every individual is provided with equal opportunities, and the benefits of development reach every section of society.

In his address, Meghwal also highlighted the contributions of Swami Vivekananda and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. He said that Swami Vivekananda provided India with a global perspective and inspired the youth to build self-confidence. His life continues to serve as a source of inspiration for young people across the country. Speaking of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee,  Meghwal mentioned his ultimate sacrifice for the unity and integrity of India, noting that his ideas and contributions continue to inspire efforts towards national unity, social equality, and economic development.

On this occasion, the Union Minister also participated in a tree-planting ceremony as part of the ‘One Tree in Mother’s Name’ initiative.

Director (Programs) of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Ruchitra Narayan Tyagi, shared his thoughts on the ‘My Bharat’ initiative. He explained that this initiative provides young people with a golden opportunity to actively participate in the nation’s developmental journey. He further elaborated that several schemes under ‘My Bharat’ are not only helping youth enhance their skills but are also encouraging them to take active roles in community service. Calling on young people to contribute to the nation’s growth, Tyagi said, “You have a unique opportunity to propel the country forward. Together, we must ensure that India emerges as a global superpower in the coming decades.”

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Namita Singh, Registrar of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi, who highlighted the significance of the event. The event was anchored by Dr. Dhananjay Vasudeo Dwivedi, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Jagadamba Prasad.
