JSLPS fails to complete recruitment process in 2.8 years

Ranchi: Promise of Hemant Soren government to give employment to youths remained perfunctory at best as Jharkhand Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS), an organisation that helps promote livelihood to youths across the state, failed to recruit around 300 youths despite publishing advertisement for the same 2.8 years ago.
“In 2022 advertisement number  18-01-2022, PR 261810 (PR) 21-22 (D) was published. After publication of advertisement, a written  examination was also conducted in Sept-Oct 2022 and the result of the written examination was also published in the month of Dec 2022.  After publication of the result of the written examination, the interview continued till June 2024. Now despite completion of the interview, the result has not been published so far,” a candidate appeared in the interview said.

None of the JSLPS authorities is available for proper comments on the matter. “I am aware of the matter. I tried to contact chief executive officer (CEO) Manju Nath Bhajantri for his comment but he did not take a call. Minister of concerned department Irfan Ansari assured proper action in the matter but the insider said no one was interested to complete the recruitment process and need proper investigation. What is the reason? Department secretary K Srinivasan also did not take calls to give a proper reply in the matter,” a senior journalist associated with a national English daily said.
A candidate said: “Before Bhajantri three IAS including Nancy Sahay , Suraj Kumar and Sandeep Singh  worked as CEO of JSLPS but none of them took interest in completing the recruitment process. We are worried as any day model code of conduct will be implemented in the state where assembly election is due in December and the Chief Election Commissioner of India (ECI) has started preparation for the same.”
