Ranchi Sadar Hospital organises seminar on Gall bladder cancer

Ranchi: A seminar on “Gall bladder cancer” was organized by the surgery department in the seminar hall of Sadar Hospital.

The chief guest of this program was Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhat Kumar and special guest was Deputy Superintendent Dr. Bimalesh Singh.

The seminar was presented by Dr. Aditya under the guidance of moderator Dr. Ajit Kumar (laparoscopic surgeon) and academic head Dr. RK Singh (senior surgeon).

Two cancer surgeons were mainly invited in this program. They included Dr. A. K. Vidyarthi and Dr. Suresh.

Senior Doctor S. Prasad of Radiology Department highlighted the usefulness of ultrasound and MRI in this disease.
In this seminar, various aspects of diseases related to gallbladder, especially cancer, were discussed in detail.

About 50 senior and junior doctors from various departments of Sadar Hospital were present in this seminar.
Civil Surgeon Dr Kumar and Deputy Superintendent Dr Singh praised this type of educational programme and said that patients will get benefitted from this.

“We hope that soon DNB studies will be started in the Department of Surgery and Department of Pathology in Sadar Hospital,” civil surgeon Dr Kumar said.
