Howrah Mumbai Mail Express collides with goods train, two die, six sustain injury
Ranchi: As many as 12 coaches of Howrah Mumbai Mail Express (12810) derailed in Badabambo of Chaibasa. Two passengers died while around six sustained injuries in the incident.
This incident took place on Tuesday at 3.45 am between Rajkharsawan-Badabambo station of Chakradharpur Division. According to the information received so far, 10-18 coaches of the train have derailed due to the accident.
The passengers who died were both trapped in the bathroom of the train. After the accident, all the injured passengers have been taken by bus. Injured have been admitted to Chakradharpur Railway Division Hospital. One has bone injury. The work of removing debris is going on at the spot.
Over 80 percent passengers from the accident site have been sent to Chakradharpur Railway station while 20 percent will be sent using a special train. All the passengers will be sent to their destination using a special train.

Background
The Mumbai Mail going from Howrah to Mumbai left at 11.02 pm on Monday night and reached Tatanagar at 2.37 pm. After stopping for two minutes, the train left for the next station Chakradharpur, but before the train could reach its next station, it met with an accident.
After this accident, the traffic on the Howrah-Mumbai route has come to a complete halt. According to the information received, after the accident, the coaches of the goods train and coaching train have spread far and wide, due to which the third line has also been affected. At the same time, due to the accident, the overhead line, poles and the train track have also been badly damaged.
