Ranchi: Retired Ranchi University teachers had a fruitful discussion with university vice chancellor Ajit Kumar Sinha at university campus on Tuesday.
A retired teacher informed this saying the vice chancellor assured fulfillment of all demands of retired teachers within 15 days.
“Retired teachers who were anxious taking their demand returned happily after the meeting,” the retired teacher said.
General secretary of Federation of Retired University Teachers Association of Jharkhand (FRUTAJ), Hariom Pandey, confirmed the fact.
“Meeting remained satisfactory. Now let us see what happened after 15 days,” Pandey said confirming the fruitful meeting.
Retired teachers’ demand
Demand of retired teachers include clearance due payment of retired teachers of their service period from January 2006 to March 2010 with 6 percent interest per annum in accordance with a Jharkhand High Court order, payment of 39 percent due under the recommendation of 5th payment commission from April 2021 to April 2022, payment of full gratuity and pension to retired minority college teachers, revision of pension of the retired teachers who attained age of 80 and proper respect to the widow of retired teachers running from pillar to post to get due payment of her husband.
