Pankhuri, Rotary, ITRHD and school children come together to save environment and heritage sites

Ranchi: It was a happy moment for students of government high school in Silagain under Chanho block on Saturday as they not only got the opportunity to plant saplings on their school premises with noted voluntary organisations but also got a chance to show their artistic talent.
This became possible as on onset of the rainy season, a social organisation Pankhuri along with, Rotary Club Ranchi North   and ITRHD organised colourful programmes on the school premises.
Around 110 saplings of Ashoka, guava, mango and jackfruit were planted on the barren land of the school with the help of students and members of Pankhuri and Rotary Club of Ranchi North.
This was followed by talk on the importance of heritage sites of Jharkhand by SD Singh, State Head of Indian Trust For Rural Heritage and Development (ITHRD.)
Later students took part in a painting competition and showcased their skills by drawing landscapes.
