Ranchi: Former vice chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh and renowned economist Dr Ramesh Sharan is no more. He passed on Tuesday morning at Kolkata where he was undergoing treatment.
Jharkhand governor C.P.Radhakrishanan and chief minister Hemant Soren condoled his death.
“The demise of former Vice Chancellor of Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh and renowned economist Dr. Ramesh Sharan is extremely sad. His demise is an irreparable loss for the world of education. I express my deepest condolences to his family. May God give them the strength to bear this sorrow’ said governor Radhakrishnan through an X message.
CM Soren echoed the same sentiment.
“The untimely demise of renowned economist Dr Ramesh Sharan is an irreparable loss for Jharkhand and I am personally deeply saddened by this news. I pray to Marang Buru to grant peace to his soul and give strength to his family to bear this loss,” CM Soren’s X message reads.
