Ranchi: As many as 141559 cases were resolved and settlement of Rs 45.92 crore was done in a Land and Revenue related Special Lok Adalat in the civil court premises on Saturday.
Apart from other cases, a total of 23499 cases related to mutation. 53 cases related to land acquisition were settled, in which compensation amount of Rs 8,19,82,302 was distributed among the beneficiaries.
In 15 cases related to coal bearing, cheques of Rs 2,55,95,680 were also distributed among 90 beneficiaries. 1032 cases related to Sections 107, 144, 145, 147 of CrPC were also disposed of in this special Lok Adalat.
Along with this, a total of 515 cases were disposed of in SAR and permission cases. Apart from this, 14 cases were disposed of in certificate cases.
The Lok Adalat was organised under the guidance of Jharkhand High Court judge-cum-Executive Chairman, JHALSA, Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad under the supervision of Judicial Commissioner-cum-Chairman DLSA, Ranchi, Diwakar Pandey.
Judicial Commissioner in-charge Rajiv Ranjan inaugurated the Adalat. Principal judge of Family Court S.S Fatmi was present during the inauguration ceremony. Apart from Fatme, Ranchi District Bar Association secretary Sanjay Vridhohi, additional collector (AC) Ram Narayan, Additional principal judge of Family Court, Sanjita Srivastava, Rajesh Kumar Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandan, DLSA Secretary Kamlesh Behera, all judicial officers of Civil Court, mediators, advocates, employees and para legal volunteers were present on the occasion.
As many as 13 benches were constituted. Two benches were made for judicial magistrates and 11 benches for executive magistrates. The purpose was quick disposal of land and revenue, land acquisition, displacement, compensation and other related matters.
For the successful Special Lok Adalat, the pre-Lok Adalat meeting started from 24.06.2024 and continued till 28.06.2024. On 25.06.2024, a camp was also organized in all the zonal offices and CCL Ranchi to settle as many cases as possible.
