Garbage dump near Kendriya Vidyalaya worries residents

Simdega: A garbage dump hardly 50m from Kendriya Vidyalaya in the district welcomes students.

Locality residents are worried taking this dump as their effort to remove it from there yielded no result.

“Having garbing dump on way to temple of education is not good. During rainy season, it will start stinking and school children will get badly affected from it due to foul smell. We made several attempts to remove the dump telling deputy commission and local civic authority, but all attempts failed. It is being said the place has been chosen as garbage station and it will continue to remain the garbage station,” a locality resident said expressing his concern over selection of the place for garbage station.

A government official said: “The problem will persist until establishment of proper plan for garbage disposal. Effort is being made for the same.”
