Ranchi: Judicial officers, advocates and legal aid personnel were today imparted training in latest judicial developments and changing laws.
The programme was organised on the instruction of Acting chief Justice-cum- JHALSA Executive Chairman, Sujit Narayan Prasad and under the guidance of Ranchi Judicial Commissioner (JC) -cum-DLSA Chairman Diwakar Pandey in collaboration with Ranchi District Bar Association (RDBA).
On this occasion, JC Pandey, Judicial Academy director S.K. Shashi, Public Prosecutor Anil Kumar Singh, RDBA President B.K Roy, Vice President Sanjay Vidrohi, Secretary Praveen Srivastava besides Chief LADC, Judicial Officers, advocates and others were present.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by all the dignitaries. It was anchored by Judicial Magistrate Ekta Saxena. Those welcomed guests included DLSA secretary Kamlesh Behera.
Addressing the programme, Sudhanshu Kumar Shashi compared the old criminal law and the new criminal law and analyzed the changing new criminal laws in detail. He informed that now the old criminal law is going to be implemented from July 1, 2024 in the form of Indian Security Code, Indian Judicial Code and Indian Evidence Act. He explained in detail about the changes in the new laws, which were important.
JC Pandey took an interaction session of the judicial officers and advocates present in the meeting on the said law.
Other people present on the stage also expressed their views on the said law. At the end, Sanjay Kumar Vidrohi expressed his gratitude and said that this programme benefited the advocates and requested JC to organize such a programme in future also to benefit the bar and the bench both.
